accommodation above, with a kitchenette and designated shower room, ideal for a multitude of functions. The initial rooms are accessed via symmetrical double doors from the hallway. To one side, the study has a full height library wall constructed in grey oak, and painted paneled walls. The furnishings are mid century style, with a teak drinks trolley found from 20th Century Furnishing, and a vintage tan leather Eames chair sits comfortably behind the glass and metal ‘Kipling’ desk by Andrew Martin. The drawing room has no less than six windows and french doors, with views of the gardens, washing this south facing room in light. A grand stone fireplace from Marble Hill, sits on the opposite wall, and the room is accessed via 2 sets of substantial paneled doors. The walls are again paneled to half height, and the ceiling is punctuated by the grid design. Georgina wanted to avoid the typical neutral look for this project, so accent colours, and an eclectic use of accessories give the scheme a homely feel. The pendant and wall lights are from Circa Lighting, in a polished nickel finish. Beyond the drawing room, is access to the large kitchen. This space is housed beneath a vaulted ceiling, clad in painted timber complete with rooflights. The kitchen joinery is designed bespoke by PEEK Architecture. The kitchen worktops are beautiful ‘Calacatta Brazil’ stone from MGLW in battersea, complete with marble splashbacks. The room also houses a dining and lounging area to the far end. The multitude of glazing, such as the rooflights and French doors, give this space an orangery feel. A sizeable larder is situated off the kitchen, with full height shelving and wine racks. The dining table is in tactile pine, from Sweetpea & Willow, and the dining chairs are in an industrial metal finish, from Baker & Stonehouse. A modern gas ribbon fire defines the lounging area, clad in the same Bateig Beige tiles as the floor. Off of the central hallway to the rear is the luxurious guest wc, with black and white rustic marble floor, deep blue walls (‘Hague Blue’ by Farrow and Ball).Tall walnut joinery provides storage, and the sink sits within a marble vanity unit. The formal dining room, which is central to the front door, is at the end of the ground floor hall, in a more intimate location. Full height, painted paneling clad the walls, and large windows flank the rear wall creating a large bay. The terrace to the rear, is enclosed by the kitchen and family space to one side, and the formal reception the other, both with large French doors lining the walls.
