Chinese Artist Lu Hao Visits
Lu Hao, one of China’s most famous and most influential
contemporary artists and author of the unique Ferrari 599
GTB Fiorano China Limited Edition, today visited the Ferrari
headquarters, where he met Chairman Luca di Montezemolo.
Lu Hao also visited the Galleria Ferrari, where he autographed
the bodywork panel used to test the paint technique used for
the special one- off 599 GTB Fiorano. The panel was donated
to the museum in September and forms a part of the Non Solo
Rosse exhibition, devoted to the fascinating subject of colour in
Ferrari’s production history.
Ferrari
Lu Hao created the 599 GTB China with a special paint finish
that reinterpreted the typical cracked glaze of Song Dynasty
Ge Kiln porcelain. This unique car was auctioned in Beijing
last November 3 for 1.2 million euro and the proceeds of the
auction will be used to fund students of Tsinghua University’s
Department of Automotive Engineering studying at the
Politecnico di Milano University (Italy) and to undertake an
internship at Ferrari’s factory.
