105 Stableford’s Lights the Way for Luxury, Handcrafted British Design Encouraged by the success of their most recent exhibition at the prestigious Decorex event at Syon Park, Stableford’s are planning to expand their range to include pendants, wall brackets, mirrors and selected pieces of hand-crafted furniture. With only 400 exhibitors hand-picked by selectors for the event, Stableford’s were thrilled to be involved for the first time this year. They received a great reaction from visitors to their stand where they showcased their new range. Here, in her latest installation, Cathy’s signature design, ‘Bonfire’, is situated in a chimney breast encased in cross cut Eramosa marble slabs creating a dramatic fireside effect. The steel rods stand tall within the fireplace, giving the sculpture a powerful presence whether the fire is lit or unlit. As the flames lick through the rods, they begin to glow and ‘crackle’ as the metal heats and expands. Bonfire brings the idea of burning branches inside the house in a smart, stylish way. Each sculpture is handmade to special commission, signed and numbered by Cathy. Prices start from £3,000. www.bd-designs.co.uk 7 KALLISTO TAKES SERVICE TO ANOTHER LEVEL As spiral staircases go through a renaissance and architects and developers alike identify the benefits in new builds, Kallisto, the pre-cast concrete spiral and helical staircase division of Milbank Concrete Products, offers customers an exclusive full service, tailored to suit the individual needs of domestic and commercial developments.
