LA SOUPE POPULAIRE
Berlin, Germany
The former 1885 Bötzow Brewery produces
the industrial chic space that adds a dramatic
and raw ambience to La Soupe Populaire.
The eclectic style consists of exposed brick
walls, bare concrete, black steel, reclaimed
wood, leather, exposed ducts and vintage
pieces throughout.
The space overlooks the old workshops,
the walls now serving as an exhibition hall.

Changing shows of contemporary art take
place in the lower level’s Studio House.
Food is served on 1930s-inspired china by
the Royal Porcelain Manufactory of Berlin
(KPM Berlin). The fabulous cuisine is highly
creative and the kitchen is run by Michelinstarred chef Tim Raue. There are two menus
on offer: one that serves typical German/
Berlin dishes, while a second menu changes
with the exhibition, with dishes created to
complement the displays.
