The true essence of country haven, this is luxurious living and so unexpected, buried deep in the Hungarian countryside. The Spa A little walk downhill leads to the banks of a picturesque lake and lily pond. Surrounded by lush vegetation and teeming in wildlife, I begin to get a feel of the true remoteness of this retreat. The outdoor hot tub, set on the lakefront, is too inviting to pass up. 40 degrees in the water and 15 outside, the mist evaporates, floating over the lake and heightening the magical forest theme. The only sounds are of nature – no cars, people or pollution... nothing but peace. The Jacuzzi is positioned in front of a tiny log cabin that’s the essence of quintessential Little Red Riding Hood storybook. Chugging steam from the chimney, this cabin is actually a sauna in the woods. Beautifully built and designed, I step inside to a private wooden wonderland, looking out onto the lake through my little window on the world. I can hear nothing but the sound of the coal stones sizzling. This is a sanctuary for soothing tired muscles.
