allorca has been ranked No. 2 (together
with the Cayman Islands and Geneva)
in the Knight Frank report “Global Lifestyle
Review”, which is comparing favourable tax
locations and lifestyle factors. The report
noted that the majority of traditional locations – such as London, Paris and New York
– scored well in certain categories but were
further down the list in others, concluding
that consistency across the board was key to a
high lifestyle ranking.
Mallorca is one of the great European playgrounds, drawing buyers of second homes
from across the globe. Investors are attracted
by the pretty inland villages and beautiful
coves, glamorous marinas and gorgeous
beaches, imposing mountain ranges and
world-class golf courses. Of no less significance
are the island's natural beauty, tranquillity and
low crime rate.
German-speaking clients – including those
from Switzerland and Austria – are particularly
keen to secure a Mallorca property, as are the
British and Scandinavians. As well, there are
some Spaniards, French, Dutch and Russians
entering the market, while property experts
anticipate a surge from outside the European
