Where are you originally from?
I was originally born in Brooklyn, New York. When I was a
baby, mi parent took mi to Trinidad. From there we
traveled a lot because mi father use to fix airplanes, so mi
see a lot of the world early on. Every summer, my mom
would let me go stay with her sister in New York. Mi love
NYC.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be? Hmmm…
Well I’m a traveler. A free spirit, so mi don’t see myself
totally settling down, so here’s a multi-answer. I will say
that mi love France and feel like I belong there. Mi already
have a home in California, New York and Trinidad, but the
Bahamas has a special hold on mi as well… Probably a
private island in the Bahamas. Saint La Toy Island!
Who produced your record “The Don’t Even Know”?
A production team called Swaggasquad
Where were you when you wrote the song?
At mi ex-boyfriends house.
When I listen to the song, I envision a large audience,
like a rave or an arena. What's the largest crowd that
you have performed this song for?
Thank you! Mi always envisioned performing in a
stadium. “They Don't Even Know” is mi new debut EP and
will be released in July 2017, so mi have no stats for that,
yet! My largest audience was around 220,000 people at
Hempfest in Seattle Washington. It was amazing, yah gal
was floating! (Laughs). It was a full out show. Had mi high
on life weeks and weeks after.
Do your live performance's include
choreography/dancers?
Yes, when the venue or promoter can afford it! I bring my
dancers and do an all-out show. Mi actually enjoys
