Cox Employee Relief Fund
Here When You Need It Most
Our employees demonstrate Cox values by taking care of one another — and that is never more true
than during times of crisis. Through donations from Cox employees, the Cox Employee Relief Fund
(CERF) provides financial assistance to employees and their families when they need it most. The
need could be recovery from a natural disaster — which many of our employees faced in 2017 — as
well as personal hardships such as the loss of an immediate family member or an injury or illness.
Since 2005, CERF has provided over $9 million in assistance to more than 3,500 Cox employees
and their families — crucial assistance at a vulnerable time in their lives. Cox employees recently
supported by CERF include:
Lauren Volk
Grayson Volk was born with a hearing impairment that required a special type of hearing aid.
But the device cost more than his parents — Lauren Volk, a media operations tech at
Cox Communications, and her husband — had in savings. CERF covered the cost of the device,
and now Grayson can hear his mother say, “I love you.”
