Marco Di Paola Presidente Federazione Italiana Sport Equestri Once again the reining world will be making its way to Cremona for the 2018 edition of the much awaited for IRHA/IRHBA/NRHA Futurity. The CremonaFiere venue will be host to the event that has made history before even starting. The new dates chosen by the organizers — December, 7-15 — will attract the best reiners from the Old Continent who, as always, will be ready to fight for the titles against the best from the rest of the world. Making the event even more attractive is the purse which this year reaches the impressive sum of 647.000 euros. The purse ranks the Italian Futurity in fourth place in the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) list of events worldwide according to payout and this fact underlines the goal of the organizing committee; that of raising the level of the two weeks of competition offered. The event also adds prestige to the finals of our Italian Equestrian Sports Federation (FISE) Reining Championship which will showcase the best of reining in Italy and will be held during the event itself. I would like to wish all the best to all the competitors who, I am certain, will leave their mark in the arena. I would also like to thank the organizers for having once again contributed to promoting the sport and the culture of the horse.
