Regional Plastic Surgery Center to Sherman

his patients, Dr. P.T. Swamy
recently retired his Sher-
man, Texas practice. The
plastic surgeons and hand
surgeons of Regional Plastic Surgery Cen-
ter purchased his practice. Founded in
1991 by Dr. Denton Watumull, Regional
Plastic Surgery Center’s plastic surgeons
are highly respected in the North Texas
area due to their extensive plastic surgery
and hand surgery education, training and
remarkable patient results.
Dr. Swamy states, “I am pleased
to transition my practice to such a
capable group of surgeons who will
continue in my same specialties of
plastic and hand surgery.”
Dr. Chirag Mehta, Dr. Chase Derrick,
Dr. Denton Watumull and Dr. Joshua
Lemmon see patients in Sherman at the
formerly named Swamy Clinic. Doctors
Mehta, Derrick and Lemmon also see

surgeons are the only orthopedic
fellowship trained hand surgeons in
the Texoma area.
This hand to elbow training is a year-
long fellowship in addition to their six
year plastic surgery and general sur-
gery residencies making the total nine
years of medical school! They treat
patients with a variety of hand and up-
per extremity problems, such as carpal
tunnel syndrome and thumb arthritis.
Dr. Mehta’s primary office location
is in Sherman and he is an active
member of the Texoma Medical Center
medical staff.
Dr. Mehta completed both his General
Surgery Residency and an Orthopae-
dic Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship
at York Hos pital in York, Pennsylvania.
He is board-certified by the American
Board of Surgery for General Surgery.
He completed his Plastic and Recon-
structive Surgery Residency at Temple
University Hospital System in Philadel-
phia, Pennsylvania.
Both Dr. Mehta and Dr. Derrick are
native Texans and have fathers who
are doctors. Dr. Mehta was born and
raised in Wichita Falls where his fa-
ther is an obstetrician and gynecolo-
gist. Dr. Derrick was born and raised
in Dallas and his father, Howard Der-
rick, MD is a general surgeon in Plano.
These surgeons focus their Sherman
practice on plastic, reconstructive and
cosmetic surgery.
Both Dr. Watumull and Dr. Lemmon
are Diplomats of the American Board
of Plastic Surgery, members of the
American Society of Plastic Surgery
and the American Society for Surgery
of the Hand. They have each been
chosen by their peers multiple times
as one of the best plastic surgeons in
Dallas by D Magazine.
Dr. Watumull has extensive experi-
ence and excellent results with face-
lifts, rhinoplasty, body contouring,
lower body lifts, breast augmentation
and reconstruction.
Dr. Lemmon is well known for his ad-
vanced microsurgical reconstruction
of the breast, head and neck, and
extremities. He has one of the larg-
est practices for microvascular breast
reconstruction in the DFW Metroplex
(including DIEP and perforator flaps).
