A Journey Towards Wellness Provided By Internationally Recognized Dr. Gregg Godfrey THE SPINAL COLUMN Dear Dr. Godfrey: My job requires a lot of clerical work. I’ve developed pain in my wrists and numb hands that are much worse at night. One of my co-workers said she got great relief from her chiropractor. Could I have a chiropractic problem? Dear Jennifer: Friday our musical guest will be none other than Grupo Solido!! These guys are ¡ es fantástico! Solido has recorded five records, earning them a Latin Grammy in 2001 for Nadie Como Tu, followed by a Latin Grammy nomination in 2003 for Vuelve. Their music lends romance to the norteño style which is totally unique and apart from all the others. And that’s not all because also on Friday night is one of South Texas’s most beloved conjuntos - Nuevos Campeones!! These guys are some of the best. Winners of “The Mike Chavez South Texas Music Awards” in 2011 as best local conjunto they’ll have everyone, both young and old, dancing the night away! Jennifer A We have treated hundreds of patients with those types of symptoms. Often weakness, numbness and pain in the wrist and hands can be caused by pinched nerves. Over the last 15 years I have found there is often a pinched nerve in the neck. The nerve can also be pinched at the shoulder, elbow area and in the carpal tunnel itself. As a chiropractor we find the problem and fix it. By adjusting the spine and carefully checking the alignment of the shoulder, elbow and wrist we can relieve the pressure and many times completely relieve pressure pain and numbness in the hands. It’s very common for patients to have a great increase in strength in the affected hand also. Dr. Godfrey 246 S.
