AMBER EAGLE
The definition of the word “artist” is one
who professes and practices an imaginative
art. By definition, Amber Eagle is a true
artist. Residing in the small colonial town
of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico with her
husband, Guillermo Rosas, in this setting
is where she creates art. Amber is

Her oilcloth version is covered with bows that are designed
to be removed from a bell-shaped lady’s
skirt, which can actually be worn. These
bows have handwritten “piropos”, Mexican
flirtations which lean towards the romantic.
For example: “I wish I were cross-eyed so I
could see you twice”, “What does it feel like
to be the most beautiful person in this room”
and “If beauty were a minute you would be
24 hours”.
The “Lady” theme in Amber’s art continues in her
painting,
sculpture
and photography - even
into her design and construction of a

flounced skirt is a 1979 ford L700 semi-truck

figure made
by saint carver, Miguelangel Almanza, is installed in the
driver’s seat when being exhibited. Almanza’s family is famous for the quality of their
statues which can be found in cathedrals
throughout Mexico. A truly stunning piece
of art.
For 2014, Amber has just completed construction of her second art car. This project
was an eighteen month endeavor and began
