ictoria Beckham has captured the style zeitgeist since she was
catapulted into the world of celebrity as Posh Spice in the 90s.
Fashion London takes a further look at the fashionista who’s
transformed herself from pop superstar to international trendsetter.
In our time, the Fashion London team have
lusted over Posh Spice’s trademark LBDs,
giggled at the young Beckhams’ his-n-hers
leather looks, and come to totally understand
her love of a structured blazer. Yes, there
have been some questionable choices – the
neon ballgown teamed with a perma tan,
the snakeskin mini teamed with a shocking
pink bra, just for starters - but we admire her
commitment to style and continual evolution
from WAG to celebrated design icon.
The artist formerly known as Posh Spice was
never one to do things by halves. At eight,
Victoria joined the Jason Theatre School in
Enfield, London, and from 17, studied drama
at the Laine Arts Theatre College in Surrey.
By 20, the hard work was beginning to pay
off. Answering an ad in The Stage magazine,
she became one fifth of the biggest girl band
in history: joining Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Mel
C and Emma Bunton to form The Spice
Girls.
