Training Within Industry (TWI) - Originally a 1940’s government program that immensely aided the War effort by helping train Supervisors, while on the job. Many credited that program for the increase in productivity that stunned the world. While shortly after WWII it fell out of favor in industry for being too simple it took off in many other parts of the world, specifically Japan amongst others.
