Texas Instruments Science and Technology Quiz
2015 in Delhi
The 12th edition of Texas Instruments India's prestigious
Science and Technology Quiz 2015 in Delhi at Shri Satya Sai
International Center on November 19. In its 12th year, Texas
Instruments (TI) hosts this quiz nationally for students from
class 8, 9 and 10, with the aim to nurture India's future
generations through the spirit of inquiry and innovation - the
cornerstone of science and technology. This year the quiz
includes two new cities within the fold of the competition and
will be held across seven cities - Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai,
New Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Lucknow, leading to a
finale in Bangalore.
Student hacker duo win award

create a Intrusion Detection Software, Astra, while pursuing a
4-year residential program at NIIT University, Neemrana
(Rajasthan). The duo is now in their final year B Tech
Computer Science have launched a start up Czar Securities
(www.czarsecurities.com) to sell their product. Recently, they
won the Top Technology Innovation award at “6th All China
University Software Innovation & Entrepreneurship
Competition, hosted at Wuxi, China” where students from over
300 universities from Asia demonstrated their Tech
Innovations. “After several rounds of evaluation with diverse
industry judges over three months we were confident of
winning the award when the organisers decided to underwrite
our entire trip to China to make a presentation to a packed
auditorium of over 2000,” says Shikhil adding that a handsome
cash award was an icing on the cake for their fledgling start-up,
Czar Securities. The duo acknowledges the insights they got
from their mentor Dr Kamlesh Bajaj who served as CEO of
Data Security Council of India supported by NASSCOM and
NU's academic leaders and founders.

Adam Gilchrist AM, on November 13 presented the 2016 UOW
Bradman Foundation Scholarship to Ajay Dalal, who comes
from Naguran (Jind) within the state of Haryana in northern
India, is a Master of Business student at the UOW Sydney
Business School. He completed a Bachelor of Technology in
2009 from Kurukshetra University. He played cricket with
Leaders in Cricket Club & Academy, Chandigarh, from 2009
onwards and in 2010 represented Chandigarh Cricket
Association in the Punjab Inter State Tournament.
The scholarship is named in honour of the world's greatest-ever
cricketer, Sir Donald Bradman is awarded annually and enables
an Indian student - male or female - who has completed
secondary school and demonstrates strong academic, sporting,
personal and social skills as well as strong participation in
cricket, to study at UOW with a 50 per cent tuition fee reduction.
