Compute 2015 was organised from 29th October 2015 - 31st
October 2015. The conference was technically sponsored by
Google. The aim of this conference was to bring together
researchers, practitioners, technology market movers, and
thought leaders, with a view to advance the state of the art, and
the state of the practice in applied research. The conference
provided a forum to discuss diverse contemporary research
and practitioner perspectives covering this theme.
Prof. Jeyakumar of Bharthiar University delivered a tutorial
session on BIOMEDICAL TEXT MINING. Inaugural
ceremony and presentation of compute 15 was done by
Mukesh Mohania, IBM who also talked on BIG DATA AND
ANALYTICS that was started by him. He discussed about
important and helpful matters to enhance the technical level of
the students.
EU-AIU workshop
The Delegation of the European Union to India joined hands
with the Association of Indian Universities to organise a
workshop for Indian Universities and Higher Education
Institutions to discuss participation opportunities in EUfunded programmes such as Erasmus+ and Marie
Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) on October 26 in New
Delhi. The focus of the workshop was funding opportunities
for India-Europe mobility and cooperation. In-depth sessions
were conducted on three key areas of cooperation during the
workshop, Capacity Building in Higher Education; Joint
Master Degrees and Individual Mobility and Jean Monnet &
Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions (Research Mobility).
The EU was represented by Cesare Onestini, Deputy Head of
Mission, European Union Delegation to India and Brian Toll,
Senior Policy Adviser, International Cooperation in Education
and Youth, European Commission, Brussels. "EU funded
projects offer substantial opportunities to Indian students &
universities via international mobility and international
cooperation partnerships including capacity building and staff
development. We are keen to work together with the
universities and foster international cooperation in education.
Learning mobility and capacity building projects can improve
skills, modernize higher education systems and institutions,
and create better partnerships between EU higher education
and education systems in India," said Mr. Onestini.
9th Indo-German Students' Exchange
Programme 2015
Delhi Public School Indirapruam organized a Special
Assembly on 9th November, 2015 to mark the culmination of
the 9th Indo-German Students' Exchange Programme 2015. The
Chief Guest for the occasion was Manveen Anand, Project
Manager - Educational Services and schools, Goethe- Institute
Max Mueller Bhavan. School Principal Mrs. Meeta Rai said
that such programmes were immensely enriching as they made
the students independent, confident and provided them an
opportunity to learn about the culture of different countries, their
teaching methodologies and attitude towards work. She further
expressed her happiness that in their own way the students were
trying to cross bridges, bond together and foster goodwill which
would make the world a happier place to live in.
The visiting German students and the German teacher, Ms.
Heiderose also shared their experiences on this occasion. The
highlight of the programme was a breathtaking 'Garde Dance' by
the German Students which left the audience awestruck by its
sheer grac
