What a remarkable year! We’ve waited patiently for God’s perfect timing and now the summer
of building and campus transformation is here! We have Grace Center going in along with 3
additional smaller state-of-the-art buildings to complete our One School of the Arts campus.
Our theatre department shined in our Spring school play, Beauty and the Beast. It is a classic
tale that has stood the test of time, illustrating the human longing for transformation and the
power and beauty of transformation. It was the perfect way to end our 2015-2016 school year
because our theme for 2016-2017 is just that, TRANSFORMATION.
Romans 12 is our text for this next year, the NIV Version text of the Bible reading: “Be
transformed by the renewing of your mind.” In The Message Version it speaks plainly :
So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—
your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before
God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do
for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even
thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out.
Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture
around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best
out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
Please join us in praying for God’s transforming work in our community, producing love, joy,
peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self-control.
