Karl T . Bednarek ’ 78 has joined the Physician Network at Weill Cornell Medicine after having spent 33 years as a member of the Beth Israel Medical Center . He has moved his office to East 12th Street in New York City , where he practices gastroenterology . His son is almost 29 years old , while his daughter is 11 . Joseph R . Ferrari , Ph . D . ’ 78 was named the sole recipient of the 2016 Distinguished Italian American Psychologist Award given by the Italian American Psychological Society , a special interest group of the American Psychological Association ( APA ). The award recognizes Ferrari for his extensive research , mentoring and public service . Irma Garcia ’ 80 ( center ) was awarded the Under Armour AD of the Year Award ( ADOY ) this past June by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics ( NACDA ). The award spans seven divisions ( NCAA FBS , FCS , Division I-AAA , II , III , NAIA / Other Four-Year Institutions and Junior College / Community Colleges ). The ADOY Award highlights the efforts of athletics directors at all levels for their commitment and positive contributions to student-athletes , campuses and their surrounding communities . Garcia has previously been awarded with the ECAC Division 1 Female Administrator of the Year Award .
