St. Francis College 2013–2014 Annual Donor Report A Message from Denis J. Salamone ’75, Development Committee Chairman and Thomas F. Flood, Vice President for Development “Conversion is not a matter of changed intellectual belief but rather a process of being brought back into human community through nourishment, companionship and teaching.” W e begin by sharing a quote from a book titled The Little Flowers of St. Francis of Assisi that we feel illustrates what we, the collective St. Francis College Community, do on campus and off every day. Do these words not capture the very essence of SFC? For over 155 years, the Small College of Big Dreams nourishes, teaches and connects Terriers from all walks of life and from all over the world. Denis J. Salamone ’75 Each brings something special to the work we do to further the Franciscan legacy. If we could, we would hand-write each and every one of our St. Francis College family members who invested in the Franciscan-values that we hold true. If distance and time did not prohibit, we would shake the hand of every donor who chooses to give of their time, talent and treasure. Since this is not possible, through this note, we offer sincere gratitude to all who contributed to the hopes, dreams and futures of our students in fiscal year 2013-14. Whether you are a student, alumnus, administrator, faculty member, staff, parent or friend — your generosity enables, empowers and ensures that the lessons learned in the classroom are brought to family, places of employment and around the world. You, and all who are listed in this Donor Report, make a difference in the lives of people you may never meet. However, be assured — those lives are forever changed by your Franciscan heart and selfless sacrifice. As you read the following pages — revel and celebrate what you have done to make Thomas F. Flood SFC what it is today. Then kindly reflect on what you will do and who you could invite to join us in ensuring that nourishment, companionship and teaching are always at the forefront of what we do as a Franciscan family. Giving “is not a matter of changed intellectual belief but rather” a way of life that is at its core Franciscan.
