Uncorked Wine & Beer Festival (Sycamore Winery)- July 20, 2019- 1320 Durkees Ferry Road West Terre Haute, IN 47885 (812) 281-2187 www.thesycamorewinery.com Crossroads Uncorked is a new wine and beer festival in Vigo County, with Indiana wine and craft beer sampling, food trucks, craft market and live music from local artists. Where else can you sip a glass of Indiana wine or enjoy a tall pint of locally made craft beer while enjoying savory food from several of Indiana’s top rated food trucks? Did we mention that there will be a variety of live music throughout the day to keep the festival rocking. General Admission Tickets are $30, and include: • souvenir glass • wine/beer samples at each booth • shopping with local craft vendors • access to local food trucks • free live music all day Designated Driver Ticket are available for $10. All guests must be at least 21 years old to attend this event. Festival attendees can purchase additional glasses of wine, craft beer, or wine slushies. Bottles can also be purchased to enjoy during the festival or to take home. Parking is free for this event. Festival attendees are encouraged to take advantage of our FREE shuttle service that will be running throughout the day from downtown Terre Haute hotels. Rainride- July 20, 2019- The 160-mile length bicycle ride runs mostly on the Historic National Route 40, an older, divided four-lane road with light traffic and gentle rolling hills. The ride begins at 7am on the campus of St. Mary-of-the-Woods College in Terre Haute, Indiana, and crosses the state to Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. To participate you should be able to average at least 12 to 14 mph for over 11 hours. Cross Country- August- November 2019- November 2, 2019- IHSAA State Finals November 3, 2019- Missouri Valley conference Championships 10:30 HCAC Conference Championship (@Rose in the afternoon 11:30) November 16, 2019- NXR Cross Regional Midwest Championships November 23, 2019- NCAA National Cham- pionships Terre Haute is known as Cross Country Town USA. The LaVern Gibson Championship Course on the East side of Terre Haute holds many races in the fall starting in August- through year end. There have been National Collegiate Championships, IHSAA Championships, Nike Cross Country Regionals and many invitationals held at the course. Schied Diesel- August 23-24, 2019- The Schied Diesel rally is held each year at the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds just south of the Honey Creek Mall. Nearly 15,000 people are expected for this (3) day event. People come from all over to participate and watch the diesel events: The event lineup includes Show-N-Shine Contest (presented by Purdue Diesel Club), Manufacture Midway, Dyno Contest (sponsored by Edge Products), the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League 2.6 Truck Pull qualifications, Outlaw Diesel Super Series Drag Racing, Kiddie Pedal Pull (presented by Pullers For Christ), with the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Truck & Tractor Pull Each Evening. Church Service by Pullers For Christ, Scheid Diesel Parts & Apparel Departments, and Outlaw Diesel Super Series Diesel drag races. Blues at the Crossroads- September 13-14, 2019- Thousand’s flock to the crossroads of America for this (2) day (2) night music festival held in downtown Terre Haute. It’s a fall tradition that both residents and those visiting Terre Haute enjoy. Bring the family and come and listen to music while sitting in the middle of Wabash Avenue on a beautiful fall evening. Bat Festival- September 21, 2019- The Indiana State University Center for Bat Research, Outreach, and Conservation annually hosts the Indiana Bat Festival. They invite people to join them for a unique festival presented by bat experts. They demonstrate with live bats and raptors, along with children’s activities, and educational exhibits. Their goal in hosting this free festival every year is to educate folks about bats. An Egyptian fruit bat at Bat Fest. Schied Diesel rally annual festival held at our neighboring county of Parke. Many vendors set up for two weeks as patrons from all over the United States visit local covered bridges, enjoy the fall foliage all while shopping and enjoying a variety of foods throughout the beautiful back roads of the mid-west. Miracle on 7th- TBA, 2019- This is a downtown (2) day event fit for the entire family. There are local vendors, food, Christmas Tree Decorating Contest, Gingerbread House Contest and more. Something for everyone to get in the holiday spirit. Nike Valley Twilight Night Race- October 5, 2019- A unique evening race held at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course. High School participants within a 600 mile round trip of Indiana State Borders compete for points in hopes of advancing to the Nike National Championships.
