Along with this they also have the historic Tony Hulman Classic, a mainstay at Terre Haute. The race schedule runs from April through October. Indiana Jammers (Mid-west Basketball Tourney’s)- April 12-14, 2019, May 31-June 2, 2019- Currently we are expecting 150+ travel teams from Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan, Missouri, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Texas, Wisconsin, Arkansas, and Alabama. The top kids across the country will be spread out at The Wabash Valley Family Sports Center, SMWC, Rose Hulman, Terre Haute Boys & Girls Club, and various schools! 46 • Guide to Terre Haute | COMING EVENTS Special Olympics- June 7-9, 2019- Special Olympics Indiana is a not-for-profit organization that provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in more than 20 Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, reaching nearly 10,000 athletes across Indiana. (The summer games are held annually in June). The athletes compete at the annual “summer games” on the ISU campus as well as Rose Hulman. Wabash Valley’s Own REX Baseball - May - August 2019- www.rexbaseball. com REX Baseball is a wood bat league for college players to develop their baseball skills over the summer. The REX is one of hundreds of teams across the country that recruit players from all 50 states, Canada, South America and Puerto Rico. The REX is part of a 11 team league called the Prospect League, which started in 2009. Enjoy the Great American pastime with your entire family. Wabash Valley Football- (Banquet) June 28, 2019 (All Star Game) June 29, 2019- The Wabash Valley Football Coaches Association was founded in February of 2003. The intent of the organization was to gather together high school coaches and supporters of football throughout the Wabash Valley. The focus of the group is to promote football and football related activities. The WVFCA each year host several skill camps for athletes, grade school through high school. They also conduct clinics for coaches and volunteers. The largest event each year is the Annual All- Star Game. This is played the last weekend in June and players from all the schools are represented in the game.
