O utside of the golf course, Amy Olson doesn’t call a lot of atten- tion to herself. You may have been sitting a table away from her at Taco Tequila’s, her favorite local restaurant, or been playing pickleball on a court adjacent to her and her husband Grant, a linebackers coach for the Indiana State University Sycamores’ football team, and never realized you’re in the presence of an ascending member of the Ladies Professional Golf Association. But that’s OK — Olson herself didn’t know much about Terre Haute before she moved here. “When [Grant] said we were moving to Terre Haute, I had to look it up,” she admits. “The nearest airport, that was the first thing I looked up.” Amy and Grant are discussing her career and their life together in their east-side townhouse; she sits beside him on a love seat mere feet from where he proposed to her early last year. tribstar.com/terrehauteliving August 2018 • Terre Haute Living 29
