UPFRONT news Women In Business seeks nominations I t’s about empowering – and empowered – women. High- lighting accomplishments, both at work and in personal life. Terre Haute Living’s Women in Business is about strong, deter- mined women who are making a difference in their communities. However, these women are more than just successful business women. They are wives, mothers, volunteers and community leaders. They set the standard. And so, we would like your help. Who do you feel needs celebrated for their work ethics, their com- munity causes and successes, both professional and personal? Who do you look up to, believe in? Nominations are being accepted through Aug. 6. From these nominations, six women will be chosen and profiled in the October edition of Terre Haute Living. They will also be honored 2017’s Women in Business. at a breakfast banquet on Oct. 18 at The Ohio Building. Last year’s recipients included Candice Snyder, hospice specialist at Kindred Hospice; Nominate Today Shelley Klingerman, executive director of Launch Terre Haute; Shelly Fonner, real estate entrepreneur/investor for Shelly Buys Houses; Geraldine (Gerry) Woodsmall, partner in Brown, Woods- mall & Hinkel, an accounting firm in Sul- livan; Bernice Helman, vice president at Coldwell Banker Troy Helman Realtors; and Lisa Pepperworth, vice president of human resources at Clabber Girl Corp.
