One Night Stand (That Never Happened)

About the Work
One Night Stand (That Never Happened) is a song
that I wrote the lyrics for when I was a sophomore
at Macalester. I stopped playing music for quite a
while, and the song kind of languished without any
music. I came up with some music for the song a
few months ago. On this recording, I am singing
and playing keyboards and the doumbek (a
percussion instrument I borrowed from a friend). I
don’t really know how to play the doumbek, but my
percussionist friend gave me a quick lesson and I
did my best.
