It also makes me uncomfortable being around people with certain ‘auras’ for like no reason other than the fact I don’t like their aura. And I get this certain feeling where I taste frozen waffles and I really hate frozen waffles.” S: “In your opinion, what’s the biggest stereotype/myth about Synesthesia?” N: “Some people believe it’s all in your head, when in reality, some people with Synesthesia actually see the colors in real life.” S: “What’s it like having it? N: “Normal to me! I’ve had it for as long as I could remember and I don’t know what it’s like to not have it.” Only a few types of Synesthesia have been evaluated ~Many synesthetes do not even know that they have Synesthesia because they have never known any other perceptions of the world.
