Teemco Calls New College Sports
Agreement a Victory
Environmental engineering firm TEEMCO soon will become a
familiar name to football and basketball fans at Oklahoma’s
three largest universities.
TEEMCO signed a five-year
sponsorship agreement with Learfield
Sports, which represents the
University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma
State University and the University
of Tulsa. The new partnership begins
with the 2014-2015 season.Terms
of the deal were not disclosed.
“Reaching out to the university
communities in Oklahoma is very
important,” TEEMCO CEO Greg
Lorson said. “This sponsorship will
enable people to learn about the
role of environmental engineering
i n t h e o i l a n d g a s i n d u s t r y. ”
Oklahoma City-based TEEMCO has
grown into the largest environmental
engineering firm serving the nation’s
o i l a n d g a s i n d u s t r y, w i t h a n n u a l
growth of at least 200 percent over
the past three years. It has developed
several proprietary software solutions
for environmental compliance and
risk management.
“Because of the high visibility of
Oklahoma college sports in this
state and across the nation, we
think this is a great way to showcase
some of the achievements in our
i n d u s t r y, ” L o r s o n s a i d . “ We h o p e
this partnership will inspire more
students to pursue energy-related
degrees.”
