>> Our team >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Darlene Boudreaux As a successful entrepreneur in pharmaceutical manufacturing, Darlene brings with her years of entrepreneurial experience including fundraising, new product development, and licensing negotiation. Under her direction, the company was on the Inc 500 list of the fastest growing private companies in America for three consecutive years and on the Dallas 100 list for five consecutive years. Prior to her career as an entrepreneur in the life sciences, Darlene was a partner and a trailblazer within one of the world’s largest accounting firms. She was a member of a team that began a tax software business within the firm, developing and licensing software to other companies. Throughout her career, Darlene has been actively engaged in the communities in which she has lived.   Darlene currently serves as a member of the advisory councils for the UNT College of Arts and Sciences and the TCU College of Science and Engineering.  She has previously served on the boards of directors for the UNT Health Science Center Foundation, DePauw University, Junior Achievement of the Chisholm Trail, the Girl Scout Council in Fort Worth, and the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration.  Nationally, Darlene is a Board member for the National Business Incubation Association.   Jorge Varela As an individual who loves the excitement and energy of the startup, Jorge has founded or owned businesses in markets as diverse as telecom, software, IT services, manufacturing, distribution, and even a professional soccer team in his native Belize. He has driven growth and value in both his own as well as for client companies as a coach, mentor, and consultant, by developing an approach that focuses on customer desirability, product feasibility, and market viability. In addition to his general duties as Assistant Director, Jorge’s daily highlights at TECH Fort Worth include working with program clients to identify value in ideas, defining a market strategy, and accelerating company growth. Jorge also serves as Chair of Executive Board of the Alliance of Texas Angel Networks (ATAN), a non-profit member organization consisting of the angel networks in Texas who have come together to share investment opportunities and best practices.   Bekah McCarley As Program Manager and as part of the team that helped launch Cowtown Angels, Bekah McCarley is deeply integrated in the success of the program. Her responsibilities include investor and entrepreneur relations, program management including budget oversight, coaching of applicants, and in general all matters related to Cowtown Angels.
