Appendix VI Transcript of the listening text (Task 6, LESSON 2) Today’s recipe is a traditional Greek salad, cauliflower salad. It is a summer dish which we all love eating. Take a pen and paper and be ready to write down the ingredients. Ready? Well, what we need is a cauliflower, a cucumber, a carrot, an onion, some olive oil and a lemon. As for the equipment, nothing special, we all have a saucepan, a grater, a chopping board and knife and a large bowl in our kitchen. Now what we do is we put the cauliflower in the saucepan and boil for five minutes. Then we strain it. We peel the cucumber and the carrot. We cut the cucumber into slices and we grate the carrot. Finally, we chop the onion. Then we put the cauliflower, the cucumber, the carrot and the onion into a large bowl. We mix the olive oil with one tablespoon of lemon and we pour the dressing on the vegetables. Our salad is ready to serve. 80
