Chapter 3: Research findings and discussion In this chapter, the research findings which have become available through the various methods of collecting and analyzing evidence are presented, and a discussion of these findings is provided, with reference to the literature. Proceeding, the research findings are summarized, in an attempt to provide answers to the research questions, as they were stated in the introduction to this book. This leads to a number of suggestions, which are considered that they can contribute to the improvement of the present situation. Finally, the book ends with concluding remarks considering its contribution to a better understanding of the way the investigated teachers think and act, and with suggestions for further research, in order to find out whether the research findings apply to a wider teacher population. 8
