from each other (see section 1.2.3), something which is considered essential for
mixed-ability classes, as the ones usually found in Greek schools. Moreover, working
alone can even become demotivating for students who find the task too much above
their level of ability.
3.1.3 Findings arising from the classroom observations
Following what was discussed concerning classroom observations (see section
2.1.3), five teachers, four women and one man, were observed for one teaching hour.
