n a recent visit to Dubai, we
came across one of the first
formal schools in the UAE, Al
Hamadiya School. The well
maintained property has detailed
information on the development of
education in the UAE, as well as the
physical organisation of classrooms
from as early as 1905. In this Know Your
UAE, we take a look at this school and
early education in the UAE in a three
part series. We will begin by looking
at semi-formal and formal education in
the Emirates.
