death and thrash. We jammed and worked hard on our techniques to the point where we found our own style of sounding.

Taste of Khaos: What is the meaning/story behind the band's name, Infuscation?

Aaswad Arif: “Infuscation” [Noun] is an antique word which means the act of darkening, or state of being dark; darkness; obscurity. I came up with this name for I thought this name would go properly with our musical expressions.

thought this name would go properly with our musical expressions.

Taste of Khaos: Wow! That's really interesting! I didn't know that. You guys are from Bangladesh. The scene is booming in Dhaka right now. What do you think characterizes the sound/scene in Bangladesh?

Aaswad Arif: No evil ever came from a woman’s womb that wasn’t placed there first by a man you know. Haha! Someone had to start. The force is outpouring. I can say it’s the 80s metal era going on here in Bangladesh when you see bands like Orator, Nafarmaan, Warhound and many more. Here we have pure Death Metal acts, Black Metal acts, Heavy Metal acts, even some great doom metal acts are on their way. Some years ago, this metal community was not that big but as we kept revamping the old ideas now we stand stronger than ever. We have true metal organizations, record labels here who are organizing shows like Banish the Poser Fest, Reign In Blasphemy Fest. Great bands from other countries are playing here as bands from our country playing over there! Great! It’s the true wave of metal and the brotherhood is what characterizes the scene in Bangladesh.

Taste of Khaos: That's great! I love to hear that a scene is growing. And the scene in Dhaka is getting huge! How is Infuscation different from other bands that come out of Dhaka?

Aaswad Arif: Every band has their own sound that put them out of the ordinary. Tone, sound are something that emerge without intervention. We play what we write, we write what we play. Everybody does the same thing.

Taste of Khaos: You say that your debut album should be available before the year’s end, are there any barriers that might prevent the album’s release, or can fans anticipate the release in December?

Aaswad Arif: There have already been some barriers. You know, inadequacies of reality always set in. It’s really hard to cope with both personal and rebellious life. But yeah, we won’t go back. Darkness, once gazed upon, can never be lost. We are working hard on our originals. Many of them are complete as well. Two songs (Rehearsal version) are released online. We are gathering time to record them very soon. We are looking forward to releasing it through Metal Monger Records when we are done with recording. Yes, our debut album should be available before the year’s end. We can’t assure. But yeah, hopefully!
