We start that song as “Machine Head” but end as “Necrophagist”, haha.

Where did the idea for the album cover from? Is that meant to be some visual metaphor?

Yeah, we used the snake as representation of evil, just like we did with the eye on the cover of our first record. When the (evil) empire finally acknowledges our power the people’s power, it will strike back without mercy. There will be casualties. Death. Black. Plus, snakes and serpents are cool as hell!

Which songs do you enjoy playing the most live? Off the new record, and from all of your music in general?

I have a sweet spot for the chorus of The Servant, but The Route of the Damned is a beating from start to finish. I love it. It’ my fave, from any record. It’s got modern and classic thrash, with a few splices of death metal… can’t go wrong with that

How old were you when you learned your first guitar solo? Was it an original or cover? If cover why did you choose that band or guitarist? How long have you been playing the guitar, were you self taught or were you trained? If so by whom? And what was it that made you first pick up the guitar?

I was 16 when I started to learn guitar with my cousins. They used to play classic Metallica on beaten acoustic guitars. I knew I had to be at least as good as them. I had no choice but to learn “…And Justice for All” (well, most of it). Downpicking different string on an acoustic guitar can really make your downpicking shine on an electric guitar!

Has there been any interest in touring the US? And where are you on the possibility and time frame for something like that? How far off do you see something like that becoming a reality?

We’d love to, but it’s out of our reach, unfortunately. It’s a matter of logistic and realism: even bigger, well-known bands can’t break even when they tour the States… why would us? We can’t afford such dreams.

Off the top of your head right now, if you were opening for any band of your choice who would it be and why? And randomly, if you were headlining a tour, who would you want to open for you?

I’d love to open for Metallica, Megadeth or Exodus. Dream come true!

To open for us, probably The Black Dahlia Murder. We’d love to be bonding with such a down-to-Earth band. They seem like really cool people!
