“Gerrell has been a fixture at TASBO affiliate meetings and events for many
years. I remember when he welcomed me to Texas 20+ years ago - he specifically called to invite me to the TASBO Affiliate meeting and made sure that I felt at
home. We could always count on Gerrell to volunteer at the local affiliate and at
Annual Conference. Members were greeted with his smile and happy attitude
for many years as they stepped up to vote or visit at the TASBO booth on the
exhibit floor. We will miss him very much.”

“Everyone at ASBO feels extremely proud to have been part of an
organization that meant so much to Gerrell right up to the end of his life. It is
the people like him that remind us that the work we do not only impacts the
work of the members and ultimately their students, but it also impacts the
quality of life in general of the members who find so much personal satisfaction
from being a part of something larger.
Gerrell has been a regular at our Eagle Institute and was again this year planning to go. We will dedicate this year’s Eagle Institute to Gerrell and his long
standing support of ASBO International and the children we serve.
