The King of Glory “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” (1 Peter 1:3) The feast of the Resurrection of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ comes after the period of 55 days of Great Lent and lasts fifty days until the Pentecost. The resurrection of the King of Glory was distinguished with an amazing power. However, when we participate every Sunday in communion, we commemorate the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus. The Lord's resurrection from the dead was and is the greatest event which is the foundation of our faith, without it we would still be under the law of sin. However at the time of the Lord Christ’s burial, the Jews made great attempts to resist and distort the good news of the Resurrection. They spread rumors and lies saying that the disciples overcame the soldiers and took the body of the Lord Christ. To cover their lie, The Jews paid off the guards at tomb to agree with their lie. We, as Christian believers, know the truth and hold 44 steadfast in our faith that we have salvation through the resurrection of the king of glory Jesus Christ. In many occasions, the Lord Jesus Christ had announced the good news of His resurrection to His disciples before His crucifixion. The Lord Christ announced to His disciples that on the third day He would be raised from the dead. The disciples remembered His words afterward. Also, after resurrection, the Lord Jesus spent forty days with His disciples speaking to them about matters related to the Kingdom of God. May the King of Glory help all of us to live a life that glorifies His Holy Name which is called upon us, so, we may inherit the eternal life.
