Feast of Feasts
Why do you seek the living
among the dead? He is
not here, but He is risen”
(Luke 24: 5-6)
The Lord Almighty came
down on earth, through
the Ever-Virgin Saint Mary,
as a man. To grant
us salvation, He
was crucified and
was risen from
the dead on the
third day. Through
the resurrection,
the cross became
a
glorious
crown,
instead
of a symbol of
suffering
and
shame. The disciples
rejoiced when they saw
the Lord because, in the
resurrection, the Lord
Christ revisited them and
spent forty days with
them. It was a dedicated
period to prepare them for
the upcoming mission. He
showed Himself to them
with many proofs and
illustrated to them matters
related to the kingdom
of heaven. The disciples’
joy when they saw the
Lord became a way of life
for them and for us. The
resurrection gives us faith
and confidence in the Lord
Christ.
The Resurrection
of Christ lights up our lives
and kindles our hearts with
the hope. The resurrection
of Christ gives us hope for
an eternal life with Christ.
Therefore, we live in the
world but the world does
not live within us, as the
holy fathers told us. That
hope will help us to follow
38
God’s
commandments
that are written in the
Holy Book and told by our
precious church fathers.
This hope enables us to live
as strangers in this world.
Material
prosperities
should not take
the place of
Christ
Jesus.
The resurrection
m e a n s
everlasting life
with God.
Resurrection
is a feast that
is above and
beyond all events
and
festivals
in life. There is
nothing in this world that
can ever compensate for
the joy that we get through
the resurrection of the
Lord Jesus. May the Lord
Jesus Christ cleanse our
hearts with the hyssop of
repentance so that our
hearts may experience the
joy and peace of the Lord
Christ’s Resurrection
