16 The third spawn Ten days after the second spawn, on Tuesday the 4th of May, they spawned again. I went and had a sticky-beak at the committee meeting; told Rosco that my pair looked like spawning any time soon; came home and found the pair finishing off their spawning act. This time they did it where I was hoping they'd do it: on a small terracotta pot base. I decided that I would try to artificially incubate the eggs this time. I moved the parents into their proper home in the community 620T. I moved the eggs into a 12-litre hatching tank equipped with a small, mature hang-on-back filter with a sponge stuck over the inlet, a 25 Watt heater, a single air-stone, and a small fluoro lamp set for 10 hours of light a day. I dosed the tank with 1 ml of Pimafix ?((
