Lvl 1: species will be available to breeders with Intermediate, Advanced, Senior, Master, Senior Master or Grand Master status.
Striped Kribensis, Dehane, Moliwe, Kienke morphs Pelvicachromis taeniatus
Very rare, most shops will never stock them.
Size/Length: Male 8cm, Female 7cm
Aquarium: Needs caves for hiding places, and for spawning.
Is comfortable in planted tanks, and will not uproot plants.
Water chemistry: pH 6 - 7 (6.5), 5 –10dH (5), 72-79°F (22-26°C)
Social behaviour: Peaceful, Territorial and aggressive when spawning
Recommended tank mates: Peaceful community species, guppies, whiptails tetras etc
FOOD: Omnivore: commercially available flake and pellet foods, frozen or freeze- dried live
foods.
Panda Dwarf Cichlid - Apistogramma nijsseni
Quite rare, most shops will never stock them.
Size/Length: Male 8cm, female 6cm

Aquarium: Prefers a tank with lots of plants and bogwood. Rock
formations will provide extra cover and may serve as a spawning
site for mature fish. This species does not fare well in dirty water, so
frequent water changes and good filtration are necessary for
survival.
Water chemistry: pH 5-7 (6), 1-15 dH (5), 73-79°F (23-26°C)
Social behaviour: Peaceful, may be territorial when spawning.
Recommended tank mates: Peaceful community species, guppies, whiptails tetras etc
FOOD: Carnivore/insectivore: frozen or freeze- dried live foods, mosquito larvae, commercially available flake and pellet foods.
