We read that you performed with well-known music legends such as Frankie
Beverley, Maze, and BabyFace last November at the sold out One World
Tour in Mississippi. Talented wants to know how was it? Did you get
Goosebumps sharing the stage with legends? Did they give you any words of
wisdom?
Oh it was very exciting for me. It was a great turn out. It also was my biggest
performance at that time, and I was the only Female on the ticket ! Yes I did
get goose bumps sharing the stage with such legendary talent with so many
successes. I have to say It was quite refreshing too see Babyface s dressing
room right next to mine knowing that he was such a prominent influence in my
musical life. I did meet Frankie Beverly backstage & he said to me that it was
nice to see a young artist staying True to R&B Music. That definitely made me
feel good knowing thats exactly what I would have wanted him to say.
Talented loves your music, its full of life, it makes you happy and it can take
you through pain as well. What our readers would like to know is where you
get the inspiration to write so many dynamic, heart filled songs such as “bcuz
ur lonely” and “Fight 4 ur life” both if Im not mistaken are from your new
album “Substance”?
Yes they both are, and Thank you. Im happy to hear the way you describe
my Music. I get the inspiration from my personal life experiences especially
“Fight 4 Ur Life”. Its important for me to share my story on track #1 of my
Albums so I can inspire others. I also get inspiration from women including
myself. I feel very strongly about empowering women in love & life, and I
make sure that comes across in my Music. Other peoples experiences also
inspire me. I tend to be able to put myself in other peoples shoes and feel
