Chelsea Sullens Loud Waterfall Photography Fine Art Photography When I opened my shop in 2011, everything was straight out of the camera. My editing was done in camera. Now I have really come to love the whole editing and creative process. Yes, this requires more time but it’s *me* time - time that I can devote to my work and my creative process. I also find time to escape with just me and my cameras. Photo day trips are essential to my work and my sanity! “My work was seen on NBC’s ‘Parenthood’ in two different episodes (Ep. 606 and 613)! Sweet little Nora rocked our lavender Golden Gate t-shirt. I am still bursting with pride!” What made you start your small business? I have studied photography my entire adult life. I’ve traveled to some amazing countries as well. My archives are deep with images and memories that I cherish. Shortly after our daughter was born, I realized I needed something that was just mine. My family and friends have collected my work and they encouraged me to jump in with both feet and open a shop. It has been a very rewarding experience - the whole process. I’m always fascinated with what images strike a chord with my clients. What’s been your most popular item or line to date? My home decor items (pillows, night lights) featuring my images do amazingly well. I love the idea of *functional art* and creating pieces that exude personal style and are not one-of-a-million cookie cutter items made in far away lands. Taking a cue from the success of the decor items, I recently launched a line of children’s and baby clothing taking the *fun*ctional* aspect one step further.
