on-the-surface person.”
Here, I’d describe how she
said it – she sips on a beer,
and flicks the cork of a coaster with her free hand; she
takes a bite from a salmon and
cucumber sandwich; she seals
her hand-rolled cigarette –
except our relationship with
Meg is built entirely on emails
and Instagram.

since featuring on the cover
of our ‘Nonsense’ issue in
November 2013.
We approached her with
something a little different this
time – a brief, and a feature
interview.
Meg is one of the many
contributing artists that we’ve
discovered in the vast world
of hashtags. And there’s
something about this ‘on-thesurface’ nature that we can
feel in Meg’s illustrations.
Published in a very different
format, she’s an artist and
tattooist by day, and it was
through one of her tattoo
ideas that we discovered her
work.
