Greed should be a glittering glamorous starlet dripping with diamonds, the way others talk of her. When you meet her in person, she is a disappointment. She is unkempt; frizzy hair, frayed clothes, worn shoes. She carries an old plastic bag bulging with the detritus of her life. Receipts, gloves, tissues, torn envelopes. Her face is lined and her stories are empty. The rest of the family avoid her.
