Artist Geri Hutyan says: "I’ve been possessed by fairy tales ever since I can remember. In this particular project I decided to incorporate fashion, art and fantasy in one composition. I wanted to use current supermodels and portray them in an unusual way by placing them in a fantasy editorial shoot wearing nothing but the finest couture gowns from leading fashion houses, such as Givenchy Haute Couture, Christian Dior and Alexander McQueen.
To me, haute couture represents art and fantasy combined with magnificent craftsmanship and impeccable detail. Each model represents a strong female Disney lead. These characters always get overshadowed by the ‘mainstream princesses’, so I felt they needed a platform to showcase their individuality, ethnic diversity and beauty.
Disney is timeless, and we all wish upon a star every now and then..."
