Marlon Hedrick is a poet, rapper, and activist with
origins in the islands. His poetry seeks to situate
his island homelands as a lens for his American
experience. At present, Marlon is working on a poetry
chapbook dedicated to his mixed-race, transnational
origins entitled, Island//Water//Mainland.
Art Ilich is a 29-year-old professor of arts from
Maribor, Slovenia. Her artistic style comes out of
admiration for painters like Schiele and Basquiat
and has evolved into illustrations with a conceptual
