of the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer; a project made possible by 103
engineers, 100 patents, 50 million pounds in research and development
and 1,010 miles of human hair. But Dyson is, well, Dyson. And a work
of art is never finished. So the company gave their iconic hair dryer a
makeover, seeking out the expertise of master gilder, Karen Haslewood,
to teach their engineers the skills needed to gild the face of this special
