Rick Kustich (Great Lakes Editor) is a fly fishing author, photographer, fly tyer, seminar speaker, travel host and fly tying DVD producer. Rick has also spent time as a fly shop owner, outfitter, and fly fishing book publisher. Rick began fly fishing almost forty years ago on the lakes and streams of upstate New York. He has since traveled extensively to experience the finest fly fishing throughout North America and beyond but continues to find that some of the best fishing often exists in your own backyard. Rick spends a significant amount of time each year on the water and has developed a special passion for steelhead fishing in the Great Lakes and British Columbia. His work has appeared in numerous national and regional publications. In January 2013 he released Advanced Fly Fishing for Great Lakes Steelhead which is his fifth fly fishing title. www.rickkustich.com

Marty Sheppard (Northwest Editor) Born and raised in Oregon, Marty grew up on the banks of the Sandy River. With his dad as tutor and angling mentor, Marty landed his first steelhead at the age of five. During the 70s his dad continued to hone and shape [perhaps unknowingly] Marty’s future by taking him fishing, seemingly every day, and instilling in him the instincts and techniques for pursuing steelhead. Marty spends his days guiding adventurous anglers in Oregon’s best wilderness settings with his wife Mia at Little Creek Outfitters. Read a lot more from Marty and Mia at their Metalheads Blog.
