Chick reached into the back of the truck, where he had slept with the dog the night before and pulled out a beat up army green Colman cooler, circa 1977. He took out a jug of water and a filled the dog bowl, then pulled out 2 turkey sandwiches that he had made for him at the gas station on RT138 the night before, on his way up from a job on the Rogue and handed one to Mike.

Mike said, “ thanks, but you forgot something…”

He went back to the ancient cooler and pulled out and two Rainier 16oz tall boys. "Beer?” Mike offered.

Chick took the beer. "I'm working for you. I shouldn't be drinking this." and laughed.

“Fuck that. Have the beer. It’s an order.”

"Oh I will, I'm not complaining."

Here you can see that I am halfway through my forward stroke and my haul hand has already started to move away from my rod hand. This is a sure sign of applying the haul too early and taking out the power in the rod - resulting in a slow and sloppy forward cast.
