always there to be pursued. Remember the Alaskan guide’s first creed…Don’t leave Fish For Fish

Day five had arrived and with it “Big Finish Friday” was upon us. A Fog filled 35 minute boat ride had once and for all convinced me of the meaning of IFR for pilots as this was VFR of the 1st order. Thankfully Bullwinkle and Boo Boo would not have any early AM swims planned this day ensuring our arrival in one piece. We would kick it off in Joshua Tree and once again I said, Babe start at the front end of the bucket you get first crack, but not the best fly in the box I murmured to myself, loud enough for her to hear. She’d heard it before , the Geo “Rat Hole ling of the Inner Sanctum Flies”, no matter she had four Leppy’s left and first water. We would hook thirteen in a shortened session of 5 hours, landing 9. Ol’ Georgie would have his day in court following Miss First Water with 10 hook ups and seven to hand to show for it, all with the best fly in the box, alas a pink butted Leppy , come on, you knew I was holding one back from the champ.
