22. Jungle Cock sides are added, nearside and farside. They should extend half the length of the barred wood duck.

21. Tie in strips of Barred Wood Duck on the near and far side. The left side of the feather is used for the nearside, the right is used for the far side. I have chosen to tie in the far side first in figure 21. Please notice the position of the feather relative to the side of the hook at the tie in point. These feathers are prone to distortion if proper care is not taken during their application.

20. For the wings, I used white goose shoulder, 3 different types of turkey feather, and peacock primary wing feathers. These are married with a left (near side) and right (far side). The wings are tied in as shown in figure 20. 5 tight wraps of thread secure the wing, and a very generous drop of cellire is added to the butt ends. This very quickly wicks under the thread wraps. Allow time for this to dry.
