2. Two tiny Jungle Cock nails are prepared for the tail, as shown in figure 2. Select these from the left (near side) and right (far side) of the cape.

3. Figure 3 shows the Jungle Cock nails tied in at the tail. These can extend as far as halfway up the length of the crest, but I have chosen smaller ones that do not extend beyond the bend of the hook.

4. Search through the Ostrich herl that you have available, and select a piece with short, dense fibers. remove the bottom 1/4" of material from the stem. With the flat stem facing toward you, create a bend as shown in figure 4. This will be your tie in point. I chose to tie this in on the far side of the hook. Be careful not to distort the Jungle Cock with your tie in point.
